Across the Board (Win, Place & Show)
Similar to the show bet, the Across The Board bet is a play where you are wagering that the horse you picked will finish in the top three places of the race. In this type of bet the pay out works differently. If your selected horse comes in third place, you collect only the show bet. If your horse finishes in second place, you will collect on both the place and show wagers. If your horse comes in first place, you will collect on all three bets: win, place and show.
Exacta
The Exacta wager is a daring play but it has a huge wagering prize. To win this type of bet you must select correctly which two horses will finish first and second and in the correct specific order. For example, if you select horse 4 to win and horse 6 to come in second, they must do just that in the same order for your bet to payoff. 3 Minimum entries for a wager to be legitimate
Exacta Box
The Exacta Box is an alternative to the Exacta wager. The difference is that in this play you must select the two top placing horses, but in this case they do not need to come in any specific order. For example if you select horses 4 and 6 to come in in the top two spots, they must do so for the bet to pay off regardless which came in first and second.
Quinella
The Quiniella bet is very similar to the Exacta Box. You must pick the two horses that will finish the race in first and second place, but in no specific order. The difference between the two bet types is that the Exacta Box is two bets on the same ticket, and the Quiniella is just one. The Quiniella is not a bet that is offered by several betting sites. It is always advisable for the player to check which of the two wagers (Exacta box or Quiniella) offers better value. 3 minimum entries for a wager to be legitimate.
Trifecta

Superfecta
By far the single hardest wager in horse racing is the Superfecta, but it also offers huge payouts. It consists in correctly selecting the top four finishers in the correct order. There must be 6 minimum entries for a wager to be legitimate.
